I'm a point of contact for South and North London Master Gardeners, households and groups wanting a year's growing support from Master Gardeners and people who might want to become Master Gardeners. I'm involved with community growing and cropping and love to grow at my mini-allotment in Clapham too. I'm looking forward to 2013 with a particular focus on seed saving (beans and squash), resilience crops and quinoa. Other projects include Lambeth Poly, the Clapham Common Bandstand Beds and Incredible Edible Lambeth.

InterestsGrowing vegetables and herbs; learning about the hows, whys and whens of planning, planting, nurturing and protecting what's in the plot. I've been on the Hackney Allotment Society's waiting list for many, many years. In that time, I've really enjoyed helping friends out on their allotments while always yearning for my own bit of space. And just this winter took up the offer of two raised beds in a local housing estate's growing community. It's a 15 minute stroll from home, so the fun begins here!!!

InterestsI am a keen grower of fruit and veg - especially in restricted spaces in Central London. I like helping people and groups get confidence in beginning growing and like to do talks/workshops on planting. I also do sessional work with adults with enduring mental health problems and offenders in the 15-18 years range. I like doing events and displays. My theme for 2011 - 2012 season is BRINGING THE FRUIT AND VEG GROWING RIGHT TO THE HIGH STREET. I have teamed up with Rockstone Gardener to materialise some stunning new displays and projects in conjunction with the Master Gardener programme. Lets Go Lets Grow is the name of my own organisation and we have 10 sites and projects currently in London plus 2 acres of land in Kent. I am particularly interested in growing sub-tropical plants. Like many others I have a PASSION FOR PLANTING and love reggae music.

InterestsI very much enjoy getting young children engaged and caring about growing things and all that that involves. I love their enthusiasm and the challenges of doing practical gardening with small and very enthusiastic hands. Children's questions and ways of putting things is endlessly engaging. I strongly believe if you get them hooked at a very young age it could lead to a life long passion for gardening - it worked with me! I currently run weekly gardening sessions with up to 15 x 3 and 4 yr olds at the Ladder Children's Centre Haringey.

InterestsI am the Coordinator of the North London Master Gardener Programme. I recruit, train and support Master Gardeners in North London. I have previously designed, set up and managed volunteering and mentoring programmes for social entrepreneurs, young people, employees of large city firms and most recently for a new community food kitchen in Stoke Newington. I am also a certified coach and love supporting people to develop their confidence to follow new pursuits in life, whether that’s food growing or any other new passion. I recently acquired my very own woodland garden in Hackney (a rare phenomenon) and am relishing the prospect of my first growing season and spending time experimenting in my new potting shed. The main dilemma though is what to try first?

InterestsI am interested in combining veggie growing with healthy living. I work at a big medical centre in N19 where we want to encourage patients to get involved in developing and enjoying our small garden plot and, hopefully, move on to grow veggies in and around their own homes. As well as gardening, I'm interested in the natural world and I particularly enjoy walking and foraging in wild places with my dog. When the season is right, I'm an avid mushroom gatherer!
